More information

Golden Monkey (Hong Cha) is one of China's finest and oldest black teas. It is harvested in early spring, with the highest-quality batches picked just before the Qingming Festival, using only fully developed buds. This batch, limited to just 5 kg, comes from the prestigious ecological area of Songxi in Fujian, one of the regions most renowned for the quality of this tea.

It is made from the Fuding Da Bai cultivar, selected in the early 20th century for its large, downy buds and its excellent adaptation to Fujian’s subtropical climate. Although it is best known for producing prestigious white teas such as Silver Needle (Baihao Yinzhen) and White Peony (Bai Mudan), it also yields exceptional black teas like this Golden Monkey.
