More information

Origin Satemwa Tea Estate, Thyolo, Shire Highlands, Malawi, Africa (1000-1200 m.a.s.l.). The leaves to produce this tea come from three endemic cultivars of Malawi (Satemwa, Thyolo and Bvumwe) harvested in the months of April and May until September.

Brewed by Tea Maker, Chisomo Custom, the leaves are lightly smoked with guava wood, a process developed and perfected by Mark Saunders, great-grandson of founder Maclean Kay.

The word moto means fire in the local Chichewa language.

This tea is tested in ISO certified laboratories, meets EU norms and standards, and was awarded a bronze medal at the 2020 AVA awards in France.
